Sr Mechanical Engineer

Job Description & Responsibilities: Mechanical Engineer duties will include – HVAC Engineer, duties will include design and calculate heating and cooling loads for building systems, survey existing mechanical systems for buildings and selection and layout of mechanical equipment such as pumps, chiller, fans and boilers under the direction of Sr. or Project engineer.

Non-technical job description:
Perform design services (mark-ups, REVIT, CAD, heating and cooling calculations) for all HVAC projects from schematic conceptual phase to complete construction documents. Will also administrate all projects throughout construction including reviewing contractor bids, reviewing shop drawings, attending construction meetings and answering RFI’s. Projects will range from tenant fit-outs, restaurants, retail, office buildings (renovation and new), ground up low rise and high rise residential, school, healthcare and other areas that the company expands to over time. Work on projects in CAD & REVIT. Project Management – writing proposals, general project & design oversight, scope development, plan review, inter-trade coordination, attending client meetings, constriction administration and managing project finances and invoicing.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 1-5 years of experience
  • Proficient in Revit & AutoCAD
  • Assist in code analyses, required calculations, equipment selection and field survey tasks
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Introductory knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, decision making and analytical skills
