BIM Manager

We are looking for a BIM Manager who will be able to handle all of the AutoCAD and Revit needs of a growing MEP firm. Our AutoCAD standards are currently well developed. The BIM Manager will be trained in our standards and expected to uphold them. As a growing company, our BIM/Revit standards are in early stages of development. We are looking for a candidate who will be able to join our team and assist with developing standards that the whole company will conform to. The team will support the BIM Manager as they make decisions and develop procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Revit projects, including importing architectural models, setting up sheets, and assisting Design Engineers with technical aspects of Revit.
  • Develop BIM/Revit standards
  • Interface with Architects’ BIM Managers to coordinate models on each project
  • Clean/set-up and maintain all Architectural CAD backgrounds for the firm’s projects as they are received
  • Work alongside designers, engineers and project managers to aid with trade specific drafting as needed.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious and highly motivated. An interest in developing and implementing procedures and standards for is highly valued. This is a position with a potential to grow. The right candidate will have the potential opportunity to rise up within the firm.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • AutoCAD (2-years minimum experience)
  • Revit (2-years minimum experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel

Plumbing Engineer

Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer wanted by EP Engineering LLC in NYC to design plumbing and fire protection system, perform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing and technical implications analysis, prepare detailed drawings, plan, risers, and schedules, using AutoCAD, Revit. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in civil engineer. 2 years of job duties related experience. Knowledge of hydrology, water distribution and drainage engineering, water & wastewater system, fluid mechanics and fluid machinery, environmental Impact assessment. Telecommunication permitted 3 days a week. Travel required to perform site survey and inspection in New York Metropolitan Area.

Mechanical Engineer

Job Description & Responsibilities: Mechanical Engineer duties will include – HVAC Engineer, duties will include design and calculate heating and cooling loads for building systems, survey existing mechanical systems for buildings and selection and layout of mechanical equipment such as pumps, chiller, fans and boilers under the direction of Sr. or Project engineer.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 1-5 years of experience
  • Proficient in Revit & AutoCAD
  • Assist in code analyses, required calculations, equipment selection and field survey tasks
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Introductory knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, decision making and analytical skills

Electrical Engineer

Job Description & Responsibilities: Project Electrical & Fire Alarm Engineer

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2-5 years of experience as Electrical Engineer in MEP firm
  • High AutoCAD & REVIT proficiency
  • Building Lighting and Power systems Design
  • Building Fire Alarm Systems Design
  • Producing detailed set of construction documents
  • Coordinating with other Trades
  • Field Survey and meetings
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilities
  • Strong Knowledge of NYC Electrical/ FA codes, as well at National Electrical/ FA Codes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
