When Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic built out its facility on 6th Avenue in New York City, EP Engineering was onboarded to deliver comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) engineering designs tailored to the rigorous demands of modern veterinary clinics.
Veterinary facilities require precise environmental control across diverse clinical spaces—from waiting rooms and exam areas to surgical suites and recovery wards. EP Engineering designed a customized multi-zone HVAC system that delivers independent temperature and humidity control for each area, improving comfort for patients, staff, and visitors.
To support clinical safety, ventilation systems were engineered with strict directional airflow and pressure relationships to prevent cross-contamination between high-risk and sterile environments. Medical-grade, multi-stage filtration systems were integrated throughout the facility to reduce odors, dander, and airborne pathogens while meeting rigorous air-quality standards.
