EP provided full engineering services for the development of Bam Kazam – a human arcade experience venue expanding with new locations at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey and in Houston, Texas, with spaces between 10,000 to 22,000 sf. These projects feature more than twenty themed challenge, obstacle and puzzle rooms, control rooms, main lobby and hospitality area.
The MEP designs included both a water-source heat pump and Fan coil unit HVAC systems connected to the building’s central condenser and chilled water supply and return loops, providing efficient heating and cooling across all spaces. Independent zones were created to accommodate varying thermal loads and occupancy conditions throughout the escape rooms and support areas. The design focused on delivering indoor air quality, thermal comfort, energy efficiency, and a flexible system for this recreational setting.
