Engineering challenges
- Designing the vacuum pumps and air compressors and associated room to fit within the minimal space allocations, but allowing adequate operating and maintenance clearances.
- Coordinating design of AC units and associated ductwork to avoid conflicts with the minimal allowable ceiling plenum clearances.
Engineering outcomes
- We were able to design a larger transformer and electrical infrastructure serving the floor to fit within the existing electrical closet to avoid having to provide a additional electrical closets, saving the client valuable floor area.
