Here at EP, we pride ourselves on our continuing commitment to good design and building better projects. We also strive to make a difference in environmental conservation and sustainability. We are constantly working to ensure that our actions and the products we purchase are environmentally responsible. Take a look at some of our office practices below.
- All workstation power, computers, copiers and printers automatically shut down each night by program
- Creatively reusing furniture from our old office
- Reusable/washable cups, utensils and plate ware – no water bottles, straws, or plastic products
- Large electronics and furniture is all either donated or recycled.
- Reusable Pens Instead of wasting a perfectly good pen case every time it runs out of ink, EP purchases pens that use recycled inserts. When the ink runs out, the only part that gets thrown away and replaced is the insert.
- Terra Cycle All other plastics not accepted through sanitation are collected and sent to Terra Cycle, who reuses, upcycles and recycles waste instead of incinerating or landfilling it. This includes plastic bags and shipping packaging.
- Batteries & Electronics Recycling EP uses rechargeable batteries for most of our office needs. Any other batteries are recycled via Terra Cycle.
- Toner We recycle all printer and plotter toner cartridges used within our office.
- Tayst Coffee we purchase Kcup coffee from Tayst who’s shipping packaging and Kcups are 100% compostable
Our newest installment with our new location is the Bevi Machine. Helping eliminate the waste of plastic bottle and cans from our office. Since the use of the Bevi machine at EP, we have already saved 2,000 worth of plastic waste from entering our landfills and oceans.
EP is also Green Business America Certified since 2017. The Green America Green Business Network is the first, largest, and most diverse network of socially and environmentally responsible businesses in the country. We are honored to have received the Green Business Certification and will continue to expand on our conservation and sustainability practices in the future.
