Engineering challenges
- Equipment, ductwork and piping had to be strategically designed to maintain desired ceiling elevations, especially when running under low beams and duct/pipe crossings.
- Tracing out the Electrical service that is provided to this space to ensure the power was taken from the proper landlord panels and that there was enough capacity so the new installation did not overload the building infrastructure.
Engineering outcomes
- Provide new split AC systems that had minimal height so it could fit above the ceiling, but enough static pressure to overcome the code-required MERV 13 filtration
